ROY PALES

Roy Pales is the founder and owner of Custom Woodwork & Design.

At age 11 Roy’s father has decided to built their first home; a two bedroom shack. Roy quickly became one of a small crew of men, racing against a fast approaching winter. Living in a rural area meant having no electricity or gas, they used only hand tools to build the home. This experience has provided Roy his first introduction to carpentry and a wealth of knowledge that he would come to appreciate later in life. The experience has also instilled a love for building in his heart, and an appreciation for the comradory that is felt when working on a crew. In 2015 Roy has found himself drawn to live and raise a family in Sonoma County. Naturally drawn back to his love of building Roy established a fully licensed, bonded & insured company; Custom Woodwork & Design. Nowadays you can find Roy standing at the top a ladder, nailing in a piece of trim, or hunched over his desk, analyzing a set of blue prints. Roy cares deeply about his clients, always striving to improve their experience.

Roy Pales has a deep appreciation for the natural look and feel of wood. For Roy, the grain of each piece of wood tells a unique success story of slow and steady growth along with beautiful perseverance.

Roy specializes in creating functional structures and environments to match his client’s aesthetic preferences. Roy listens closely to his client’s needs and practices detailed communication in order to best deliver outstanding results. He is genuinely interested in bringing his client’s vision to life in the most efficient and cost effective way possible while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in his work.
